Old School Runescape is a free action game developed by Jagex Games Ltd. It's the classic version of the popular MMORPG, RuneScape, which can be run and played directly from a web browser. In this game, players will choose their own adventure as they explore the world and meet various characters along the way.

Compared to RuneScape as it's known today, Old School Runescape, also referred to as OSRS, features low-poly graphics and a decidedly simpler control scheme. An optional paid Premier Club is also available to players, and it comes with various benefits and additional content.

RuneScape is one of the biggest MMORPGs in the world today, featuring a healthy community base of loyal fans. While it's not as visually technical as its modern contemporaries, it makes up for it with plenty of game content and freedom of gameplay. It started out as a browser game, and with Old School RuneScape, today's players will get to experience the gameplay of the original version.

The game has always been known to be very "hands-off", and this version is no different. After a brief tutorial, you're on your own to level up your skills and take on quests. It's negated somewhat by regular content updates like the Ironman Mode, essentially a survival mode that challenges you to be self-sufficient without any player interaction or economic infrastructure to help you.

Whether it's your first foray into the game or simply want to check what all the buzz is about, Old School RuneScape is every bit a part of the franchise's identity as its modern iteration. It's a chance to experience the game in its original form and the game is still worth the try despite its setbacks.
